1. How long have you been into anime?Since the days of DBZ, Sailor Moon and Hamtaro on the 4:00 toonami block. But I didn't know it was anime until about 7th grade. Then I'd have to say Naruto. 2. How many dvds of anime do you own (including series and movies)?Too lazy to really count so I'll name off the top of my head.
Hetalia vol 1 (maybe 2 dvds in the first season)
Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (complete series I think there's like 4)
Secret Life of Arriety
Kiki's Delivery Service
Howl's Moving Castle
Ponyo
Sister Sister
Magikano
X-Men Japanese animated series (that originally aired on G4)
Neon Genesis Evangelion vol 4
Full Metal Alchemist Sacred Star of Milos
Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood vol 3
Metropolis
idk there's probably like 1 or 2 I forgot.
3. How many manga do you own?38 including 1 omnibus worth 3.
4. Favorite genres:magical girl, shonen, gender bender, action, supernatural (basically anything but I'm real picky on mecha)5. Top 5 favorite anime, and why you like them (no spoilers): 1.Madoka Magica- Cute with a side of violence and mind bending
2. Naruto- old classics die hard.
3. Angel Beats!- It was sad, but it didn't leave you hanging on the sad parts. It also had good characterization and great music. It was also really touching too. Like the one episode made me cry and dwell on it for days and its really hard to make the think as much as that one did.
4. Full Metal Alchemist- It was one of my first animes that I've watched from start to finish. I learned so much about the 7 Deadly Sins. More so than any 12 year old should. lol And the plot was really engaging and dramatic and made you sympathetic toward the characters. But then you find out the characters accomplished so much even without a body and an arm and a leg. Also the story spanned over several years so you see Ed and Al grow both physically and mentally.
5. Tokyo Mew Mew- The one good thing about 4Kids is that even though it made crappy dubs, it introduced you to new anime that would've probably never made it in the US without it. I love "Mew Mew Power". I used to watch it with all my friends and we even created our own Mew Mew group. It had the typical archetypes for each character and the classic sentai feeling. But I loved watching it and I miss watching it and talking about it with my friends. It was the only reason I'd wake up at 8:30 on a saturday morning. And then came Magical DoReMi at 8 am!
6. Anime currently watching/catching up on:None at the moment. I'm rewatching X-Men:Evolution though. Not really anime.
7. Website you watch anime on:youtube or just google it. I don't have a specific site.8. One anime you would recommend, plus basic description:I'm not really an anime person any more. I read more manga than ever. But since I KNOW theyve made this into an anime, I'm gonna say Nurarihyon no Mago. It's about this kid who lives with his grandpa and his grandpa is this leader of a Yakuza demon gang. And this kid is 1/4 demon and he has to gain the loyalty of each of his grandpa's followers and then some. But no one believes he can do it because he's only a quarter demon. But as he keeps beating down baddies, he gains more strength and more followers. And he's also in a harem including a human, an onmyoji (exorcist) and a Yuki Onna (snow demon girl)
